How to buy a globe

Please start the process by simply placing an order directly through our website. This is a generic 50% deposit based on your chosen size – and the balance will reflect your final choice of colour, base, and optional added personalisation. We will be in touch shortly thereafter to confirm your order and let you know the next steps.

You are welcome to call or studio or email Jade at jade@bellerbyglobemakers.com to discuss the options and any questions you might have ahead of an order as well. If you prefer to make payment over the phone or be invoiced via email that is of course fine as well.

What’s included in the price

Your one-of-a-kind globe and base, fully bespoke, each one handcrafted.

No VAT, unless you live in the UK, so thats 20% off the price, which usually more than covers the shipping cost.

Local taxes may be applied by your local customs.

Safe packaging and insurance, and help with the shipping process. All large globes are tracked with apple trackers, so we can be extra sure of its safe arrival and track its journey.

You may visit the studio to start the process of commissioning your bespoke globe. Please get in touch to discuss a day and time.

Personalising your globe

With each globe made bespoke to order we can personalise in endless ways. This can be bespoke cartography, travel routes or hand drawn and hand painted illustrations. This is a process we will guide you through and explain in detail. Some styles of bases also include an engraving which is the perfect place for names, dates, or short sentiments.

The Copper Albion desk globe is available in 22cm, 36cm, and 50cm diameter which means you can match the perfect size to any space within your home or office. All Albion Desk Globes feature our innovative roller bearing mechanism permitting a 360 degree rotation in all directions.

Our Copper bases are solid and heavy. The 22cm diameter base weight is 5.90kg / 13lbs. The 36cm diameter Albion is 24.65kg / 54.3lbs.

You can book in here with a generic deposit based on the sizing you would like. Select the diameter from the dropdown and we will be in touch to work with you on choosing the colour, base and to go through the options and start the process of added personalisation.

The base can have a Brushed, Aeronautical Polish, or Mirror Polish. We recommend the Aeronautical Polish.

Please note that Celestial, Cassini, Moon & Prussian Gagarin / Gagarin colours are priced higher. The main image in the listing is Gagarin and is priced higher than the deposit amount shown for each size. The second image is Mint Green.

Each globe is one of a kind and unique, watercolour are hand mixed meaning your globe will not be identical to any in the listing but just as beautiful!

Finishing materials: Schminke watercolours, vivid magento inks, UV resistant resin.

Commission of the globe includes up to 10 text edits on the 22cm sizing and 20 text edits to the cartography on the 36cm and 50cm sizing. There is option of further personalisation including hand drawn and hand painted illustrations or travel routes.

22cm and 36cm shipping is applied to the deposit, the 50cm shipping cost will be quoted and applied to your final invoice along with your balance.

The globe is shipped in a specially crafted flight case – ensuring safe delivery.
