How to buy a globe

Please start the process by simply placing an order directly through our website. This is a generic 50% deposit based on your chosen size – and the balance will reflect your final choice of colour, base, and optional added personalisation. We will be in touch shortly thereafter to confirm your order and let you know the next steps.

You are welcome to call or studio or email Jade at jade@bellerbyglobemakers.com to discuss the options and any questions you might have ahead of an order as well. If you prefer to make payment over the phone or be invoiced via email that is of course fine as well.

What’s included in the price

Your one-of-a-kind globe and base, fully bespoke, each one handcrafted.

No VAT, unless you live in the UK, so thats 20% off the price, which usually more than covers the shipping cost.

Local taxes may be applied by your local customs.

Safe packaging and insurance, and help with the shipping process. All large globes are tracked with apple trackers, so we can be extra sure of its safe arrival and track its journey.

You may visit the studio to start the process of commissioning your bespoke globe. Please get in touch to discuss a day and time.

Personalising your globe

With each globe made bespoke to order we can personalise in endless ways. This can be bespoke cartography, travel routes or hand drawn and hand painted illustrations. This is a process we will guide you through and explain in detail. Some styles of bases also include an engraving which is the perfect place for names, dates, or short sentiments.

This impressive 127cm diameter globe stands over 1.5m high, and its scale is breath-taking. The largest handmade world globes available for commission.

Available with either a hand-turned wood base in either Oak or Walnut or with a Aluminium base. Fitted with revolutionary bearings, this globe can spin in a fluid 360-degree rotating motion by hand.

The deep hues are created with many watercolour washes painted by hand in our London studio. A truly individual product, exuding quality craftsmanship and skill, the Churchill would not look out of place in a grand home or workspace.

As with all Bellerby globes, each one can be individually tailored to suit taste and requirements.

Only 40 globes will ever be made in this series and like all of our globes no two will ever be the same.

Notes regarding this specific listing :

– One globe pictured has Arabic cartography – a bespoke commission. Another shows a combination of Chinese with English – also a bespoke commission.

– Gagarin & Cassini colouring is priced higher than all other colours. Colours pictured are Gagarin, Glacial Cassini, Turquoise Cassini, Glacial Blue, Prussian Gagarin and Prussian Blue. Colour Guide – Linked Here.

– The bases shown in this listing are 1) London Plane Wood, 2) A base handcrafted from solid Aluminium – this is priced higher than our wooden bases, 3) Walnut. Please enquire for pricing and other options.

Commission includes 20 cartography (text based edits to the map). Illustrations and travel routes will be quoted on top.
