How to buy a globe

Please start the process by simply placing an order directly through our website. This is a generic 50% deposit based on your chosen size – and the balance will reflect your final choice of colour, base, and optional added personalisation. We will be in touch shortly thereafter to confirm your order and let you know the next steps.

You are welcome to call or studio or email Jade at jade@bellerbyglobemakers.com to discuss the options and any questions you might have ahead of an order as well. If you prefer to make payment over the phone or be invoiced via email that is of course fine as well.

What’s included in the price

Your one-of-a-kind globe and base, fully bespoke, each one handcrafted.

No VAT, unless you live in the UK, so thats 20% off the price, which usually more than covers the shipping cost.

Local taxes may be applied by your local customs.

Safe packaging and insurance, and help with the shipping process. All large globes are tracked with apple trackers, so we can be extra sure of its safe arrival and track its journey.

You may visit the studio to start the process of commissioning your bespoke globe. Please get in touch to discuss a day and time.

Personalising your globe

With each globe made bespoke to order we can personalise in endless ways. This can be bespoke cartography, travel routes or hand drawn and hand painted illustrations. This is a process we will guide you through and explain in detail. Some styles of bases also include an engraving which is the perfect place for names, dates, or short sentiments.

Our ever popular Albion desk globe which features the same innovative roller bearing mechanism as our Mini Desk Globes permitting 360 degree movement in all directions. The base is handcrafted from solid Aluminium and can have a brushed finish or aeronautical polish.

Included in the cost of the commission are up to 20 cartography (text) edits as well as a personalised engraving. For a small additional cost you can add further text edits, travel routes and detail like hand drawn and hand painted illustrations. The personalisation guide is linked here.

Each globe is made bespoke to order so we are usually working many months ahead with a full diary. For short time frames ask us about our gift card options or see the ‘Quick Delivery Options’.

Presented with its own bespoke flight case, your base will be fitted with an inscribed copper plaque noting the edition number and style, and shipped with a certificate of ownership.

Each globe is one of a kind and unique, watercolours are hand mixed meaning your globe will not be identical to any in the listing but just as beautiful!

Illustrations in website images are examples of the endless things that can be done to the map. We will be in touch to begin the process of you designing the globe exactly as you would like it.

We ship worldwide from our London studio, fully insured and tracked. Your globe will ship in a lovely ‘flight case’ ensuring safe arrival and the perfect packaging if your globe is a gift.
