This listing is to book in for a globe with over 200 hand drawn and hand painted illustrations. No two globes will never be replicated the same –
Though we have a set suggestion in place for what illustrations are where – this is optional and as always we can design the globe as you would like it.
With your globe handmade and hand painted it would be impossible! Each one is made bespoke – your version or variation can be ordered in a variety of sizes, colours, styles of base. Size options are 22cm, 36cm, 50cm, 65cm, 80cm or 127cm diameter.
We have a 12cm Pocket Globe – this holds much fewer illustrations due to the small size – please enquire for more information or book in with a deposit and we will work with you to finalise which animals make the cut!
Choose which diameter globe you would like. The pricing reflects the globe having over 200 hand painted illustrations.
We do not recommend using Gagarin or Cassini colouring with this amount of illustrations. If you do choose our Gagarin or Cassini colouring, then the price will be higher and we may suggest some illustrations that are on land not be included or be moved slightly.
We are in the process of designing and making our first Animalia in 22cm sizing which will serve as a suggested example and may include less overall illustrations – however as with each and every globe you can adjust to your personal vision.
You are welcome to commission your own unique version with added illustrations like ships, monuments, your own house, your pets, or family portraits. We can also add travel routes and bespoke cartography like quotes, dates, names, or favourite cities highlighted. Additional illustrations and design work will be quoted on top. We will go through a mocking up and approval process with you ahead of finalising your choices on your globe.
The colouring shown here is Regency Blue – and can be paired with your choice of base (Walnut, Oak, London Plane Wood) with an added personalised engraving. Aluminium, Brass and Bronze are available at a higher price in some sizes.

The colourful illustrations include a beluga, humpback, sperm whale and blue whale. There is a manatee, puffer fish, Alaskan crab, octopus, various sharks, a seahorse, and a lobster. You’ll find King Eider ducks, a golden eagle and a Rufous hummingbird. Dolphins, jellyfish, and manta rays …
Looking to Central and South America you will find an Amazon jungle snake, an alpaca, red Columbus bird, a capybara, Xoloitzcuintle, axolotl, an ocelot – plus a toucan. Also don’t forget the Panamanian golden frog.
A narwhal, grey wolf, roe deer… of course tropical fish as well. Some cute ones like a sloth, capuchin monkey and a beautiful blue Morpho butterfly. Penguins of all sorts of course too. You will find an egret, parrot, parakeets, a stork – and a lovely dragonfly A seal, puffin.. even a violet ground beetle and Siamese fighting fish.
Safari over to the cheetah, zebra, elephant, serval, lions, gorilla, hippo, giraffe and a dik-dik.
We did not forget a clownfish, dugong or a proboscis monkey. There is even a thorny devil, Tasmanian devil, wombat and a budgerigar. Plus many many more…
