How to buy a globe

Please start the process by simply placing an order directly through our website. This is a generic 50% deposit based on your chosen size – and the balance will reflect your final choice of colour, base, and optional added personalisation. We will be in touch shortly thereafter to confirm your order and let you know the next steps.

You are welcome to call or studio or email Jade at jade@bellerbyglobemakers.com to discuss the options and any questions you might have ahead of an order as well. If you prefer to make payment over the phone or be invoiced via email that is of course fine as well.

What’s included in the price

Your one-of-a-kind globe and base, fully bespoke, each one handcrafted.

No VAT, unless you live in the UK, so thats 20% off the price, which usually more than covers the shipping cost.

Local taxes may be applied by your local customs.

Safe packaging and insurance, and help with the shipping process. All large globes are tracked with apple trackers, so we can be extra sure of its safe arrival and track its journey.

You may visit the studio to start the process of commissioning your bespoke globe. Please get in touch to discuss a day and time.

Personalising your globe

With each globe made bespoke to order we can personalise in endless ways. This can be bespoke cartography, travel routes or hand drawn and hand painted illustrations. This is a process we will guide you through and explain in detail. Some styles of bases also include an engraving which is the perfect place for names, dates, or short sentiments.

This 127cm (50 inch) diameter globe is cradled in a handcrafted Oak or Walnut base and available is a variety of styles and finishes. It sits within a huge hand-engraved brass meridian and has deep horizon bands around the table.

This impressive globe stands over 2m high, and its scale is breath-taking.

Only 40 globes will be made in this Churchill series. This is the largest, hugest, biggest traditionally handcrafted globe available for commission in the world.

As with all Bellerby globes, each one can be individually tailored to suit taste and requirements.

The globe is moved via the hand-engraved solid bronze meridian to spin at any angle including upside-down.

The deep hues are created with many watercolour washes painted by hand in our London studio. A truly individual product, exuding quality craftsmanship and skill, the Churchill would not look out of place in a grand home or workspace.

Colour suggestions include Mint Green, Prussian Gagarin, Glacial Blue, Mint Cassini and Gagarin. If you see a colour you like on a smaller globe we can re-design it to suit this larger size.

We ship fully insured and tracked – worldwide from London.

Price of the globe includes edits to the cartography. Further personalisation like illustrations and travel routes will be quoted on top. Please also note that Gagarin, Prussian Gagarin and Cassini colours are priced higher.
